A very well done and complete paper on Differential interference contrast microscopy, or why it can't be cobbled together with parts from your garage... I found it interesting..

Moose - LOL!! That paper looks like about as much fun as a cavity, too. :P Boy, am I ever glad it isn't necessary to understand it in order to have fun playing with it. 8-)

If I get some extra time, and locate that bottle of extra-strength Excedrin, I might have another go at that treatise. Probably mostly to look at the pictures.
