Would a Spencer dark field condenser work on an AO series 4? I ask because of the close relations between the two companies.

It might. Before the Spencer Lens Co. was bought by A/O, Spencer microscopes started using a fork mounted condenser. The first fork mount was smaller than the later one. The later fork mount should be the same size as the 4 Series. Do you have any way to measure the groove for the fork mount on the darkfield condenser?

If it's the one on Ebay that the auction closes in a few hours, it won't fit according to the seller. He says it's too small for the fork on a 10 series. The 4 series has the same size fork as a 10 series.

Ah I guess we all watch the same things  I was not planning on purchasing it, I was just interested for the future to see what accessories can fit on my series 4.
