Hi, Larry here, a 48 year old plant obsessed nature nut interested in just about everything!

I have a basic student monocular scope bought in the 90s from Brunel microscopes. It used to go up to 1250x but I'm more interested in the lower magnifications these days. There's a lot to be seen below 100x!
Although I view and photograph a lot of subjects I am mostly interested in plants, especially ferns at the moment.

I am also an amateur musician playing with guitar, ukulele and piano but am a perpetual learner!
Anyway that's enough for now, time to view the forum!

Yea it fixed me, then I realised later that modern scopes raise the stage, whereas older scopes like mine raise the tube.
