Hello Everyone,
I am a student at Indiana University with a major in Computer Science. I just recently got into microscopy over Christmas break when my girlfriend got me a microscope for Christmas along with supplies. At first I looked at random things like hair, plants, dust, and stuff like that but I soon realized I most liked looking at microorganisms in water. Unfortunately, since it is winter, I can only look at water from the two fish tanks that are in my apartment. Although its not a lot, I have found some pretty cool stuff, mostly rotifers. I am excited to join this forum to see what other people find and to tap into the expertise here if I need help with identification.
Microscope:
AmScope M148C with 4x, 10x, 40x objectives.
10x, 25x eyepieces which makes the total range 40x - 1000x so I can even look at tiny bacteria!
I just recently got a 2 MP Celestron digital microscope adapter on amazon, which posses a 20x lens, so total digital mag is 800x
Looking forward to talking to you all!
Matthew from Indiana
