Hello everybody,
I'm beginning to learn microscopy.
I've got Leitz Laborlux trinocular microscopes, one with Heine condenser.
I'm interested in mineralogy and polarizing microscopy.
My actual problem is finding the best way to enable my mics for photomicrography.

Have a look at the link for some very useful recommendations on how to connect a camera to a microscope.

Any chance of some pics of the hansome beasts?

Do you view crystal internal inclusions with phase contrast, from your Heine condenser? I am curious what is Heine's application in mineralogy.

Hi Klaus,
An old Leitz I bought for the Grandkids to learn with sucked me into this microscope world. It is way above my head and got me to get a stereo to introduce them until I could get the Leitz fixed up.
I hope you enjoy yours & get some good pictures. I have seen on ebay where the Heine Condensers and Objectives are highly valued. I wonder how the Heine setup compares to the 402A setup.
Being a newby myself, I'm going to check out the thread that 75RR suggested. I haven't tried it in the trinocular port of the Leitz but I got some decent pictures from an Amscope digital camera through the eyetube of the stereo. The Amscope camera fits a standard eyepiece tube and has 30 & 35mm adapters so should fit the 30mm Leitz trinocular tube.
Since you are interested in minerals, maybe some dispersion staining would be fun to try. A small particle is immersed in a liquid and colors tell if the optical property of Index of Refraction matches in both.
