I'm a newbie to this, somewhat. I did the whole pond water thing back in 5th grade... (Rotifers were my favorite)
I'm interested in taking cool pictures and going back there again, as well as using a microscope for other hobbies that I have.
I'm jumping in deep by attempting to build up an Olympus Vanox AH-3 series scope from a bunch of surplus ones. What I'd like to do is get to the point where I can use the scope in all modes. I'm still learning the differences and I chose this scope for most likely not the best reasons...
At any rate, the budget is broken already, but I'm not giving up! Especially after seeing a Vanox all set up on someone's bench in this forum!
