Arizona Microbehunter

#1 Post by JWW » Tue May 16, 2017 9:54 pm

I wasn't aware of this forum until Eddie provided me a link. I been interested in photography since the film days, mostly medium format and Astrophotography (Pentax 67). I restore vintage 50's and later telescopes and fabricate and machine unobtainable parts for them. I am mainly interested in learning how to "clean" diatoms and in finding a micro-manipulator, since that's my main interest for now. I am fairly new to micro-photography, most of the terminology and technical aspects but willing to learn. My equipment consist of a Rube Goldberg type Nikon MM-11 setup, a Nikon Optiphot Biological with all accessories except DIC, a PZO DIC Biolar and a Meiji EMZ-13TR low-power stereomicroscope. A few of my images are here;

Hi JWW,
Those are some very nice images and microscopes - welcome.

"I restore vintage 50's and later telescopes and fabricate and machine unobtainable parts for them." That is a very worthwhile endeavor - congratulations
