hi to all of you.
I used to do a lot of work using microscopes in my university and lab days. My career took me to more office jobs, and I'm now retired and getting into hobbies. With my weakening eyesight, microscopy is coming to the rescue of my horology hobby (watch repair).
I now own an AO 570 zoom stereo microscope which is a joy to use.
Hope to exchange information and social niceties with many of you in time...

Welcome, Robert. My dad was trained die maker/ setter/ watch repair jewler with a basement bench to work at home on designs . I love your stereo boom setup. Just a thought...as prices come down...consider medical/dental used ( or new) 'telescopes'..they are very comfortable, mine have approx. 19" working distance...and terrific depth of field/ field of view area...just a thought. Charlie Guevara in fingerlakes south of Ontario a tad.
