Hello everyone!
I'm just getting back into microscopy after a long absence (early 1980s) and am starting again from scratch. I've bought a Leitz Orthoplan and a Zeiss Universal on eBay, but haven't taken delivery yet and am looking forward to first light through these venerable machines. I'm starting to equip a lab to host the new 'scopes too.
I think my interests will be observing live protists, both freshwater and marine (I live three miles from San Francisco Bay), and making permanent mount slides of various subjects.
