Hi
Located in Sydney, Australia. No background in biology or science, just a hobby. Getting back into microscopy after a long break between scopes, thanks in part to the Microbe Hunters YouTube channel. Compared to all the years before, the amount I have seen in the few weeks I have had my scope is NUTS! Looking forward to participating in the forum.
Regards
David

Welcome geos,
do not keep us in suspense, tell us about your microscope.
In case you have not come across it, here is a link to an excellent Rotifer key which should be right up your street:

Hi 75RR
Rotifers are great and I didn't know they even existed until a few weeks ago.
I see mostly bdelloid and lecane. I have also seen paramecium and amoeba
(the blobby sort and testate) something I've been wanting to see since primary
school science.
My microscope is a Radical RMH-4T from India. It's trinocular, quad turret (4x - 10x - 40x - 100x OI.)
and came with a 0.3 MP camera. I've since replaced it with a 20 MP industrial cmos camera.
I've shot a few videos and started posting to YouTube.

I'd only ever seen naked amoebae before, I thought this fella had latched onto something too big to eat.
