Hello,
I joined the forum and saw where we post introductions and what type of microscopes we have. Also see a “test”’page though I don’t know what that means. Where is the page for general posting with questions/comments etc?

Aim to post your question in the sub-forum that seems most appropriate, judging by its title.

None of the sub forum listing seem to be for general information / conversations / topics. So I guess I post on this one then.

me new too !
The Sandbox* - test area, is a nice feature that many other fora would do well to emulate
As I understand it - it is to [s]play in[/s]^ experiment with making a post, discovering how the forum works, how to post links etc.
and any posts there can be deleted at any time.
* in the UK we would call it a sand pit
^ hmmm, looks like BBCode for 'strike through' isnt enabled here ?

There is no conversation section as such, though I think if you scroll down a bit you will find that most areas of interest in a microscopy forum are covered.None of the sub forum listing seem to be for general information / conversations / topics. So I guess I post on this one then.
If something does not fit well in any section then the Miscellaneous or Off Topic sections can be used.
No pictures of cats however, all posts must be microscopy related.
If you are mainly interested in chatting about microscopy then I believe the Facebook Amateur Microscopy group might interest you.

I am interested in historic methods of mounting slides. In particular the paper wrapped slides.
