Olympus BH2 running hot?

Hi all,
Many thanks for your advice on my previous BH2 question. I now have olympus WHK 10x/20 eye pieces and a few SPlan objectives and image quality has definitely improved. I suppose I will sell the Nikon eyepieces and spare Zeiss objectives when I get the time...

Anyway, what I have noticed is that if I have the scope on for a while, the base gets very warm/hot to the touch.. Is this normal?

Hi,

BHS or BHT?
My BHT tends to get quiet warm after a while, but i wouldn't call it hot.
Guess this is just usual heat dissipation from the lamp and the power transformer.
