Cordial greetings
I have a problem with my Carl Zeiss Amplival microscope and i have not been able to solve for more than one try ,and it is that the coarse focus of the microscope is too light ,in this equipment the stage an the pancratic condenser are quite heavy ,and they lower the coarse focus ,in the manual says that you can press it against the hands of the clock but you have to adjust or deactivate the brake . i don't know where it is or how to do it ??.i tried to turn the focus levers but couldn't get them to turn, here is a guide that was published in another german forum please if anyone is aware of this please help me to adjust the coarse focus to make it tighter and not lower it by itself , i have already disassembled it and re-greased it with damping grease but the problem still remains.
.
Someone knows how to do the procedure correctly so that the brake can be removed or the focus can be tightened.
Thank you very much in advance for your cooperation

Re: Help me with coarse focus Zeiss Amplival to loose.
What I am reading is you grab the coarse focus knobs, one in each hand and turn them in opposite directions. Clockwise to tighten and counterclockwise to loosen.

Finally after a lot of effort I managed to tighten it, it seems that it was very stuck...I left it on wd40 for a day and then with a few taps it was loosened...it's already with the right tension, thanks.
