This model came out, and would you say this model
Is used in labs and research?

Hmm, MicroInspector I'm sorry to say that I'm with 75' here old chap.

This is a photo of a typical toy Chinese microscope available in any department store. It is a very poor quality toy. The black tube on tope is use to top off immersion oil. You need about a liter for it to work properly.
