I am searching for some infinity corrected Leitz lenses, which I found many but most of them have the ∞ / -
which If I undertood it correctly means no cover glass... is this the same as ∞/0 ? what about ∞ / *
and finaly *∞ / 0 as in can be seen in the attachment
thanks

Re: Leitz infinity corrected lenses.
For Leitz a "-" means the objective can be used with or without a coverglass.
A "0" means no coverglass should be used.
Not sure if I've seen an objective with a "*."
Generally, speaking low power objectives (like your 10x) will tolerate coverglass differences. Higher power ones get fussy.

Re: Leitz infinity corrected lenses.
Wild/ Leitz used oo for their no cover objectives prior to their merger with AO/Reichert-Jung B & L and Cambridge. Some of them; the lower N.A. ones are as Pete said , capable of tolerating a coverglass, which is the normal case. I have never seen a Leitz oo coverglass corrected objective. That did not occur until after the merger, when the new brand Leica, adopted the AO/Reichert infinity system, which became the so called Leica Delta optics.
