Modifying Leitz trinocular

#1 Post by Aslan » Fri Nov 30, 2018 1:27 pm

Hello everyone.

I was thinking of modifying an Ortholux trinocular head for use on an SM microscope. Before I commit to surgery I was wondering if anyone else has had any experience doing such a thing. Essentially I want to remove the small piece at the bottom of the trinocular head and replace it with the base of the binocular head that came with the SM microscope.

Any thoughts?

Edit: I realized after posting this that it should have been placed in homemade mods. I submitted a topic there. Please ignore this one.
