Olympus BHM C-Mount Lens Assemblies
Olympus BHM C-Mount Lens Assemblies
Here are various lens assemblies with test images.
One is a grey 3D printed tube, matching the length of a triocular head. 2.5 relay lens is used with a U-MTV3 (has magnifier lens).
One is just the U-MTV3 just sitting on top of the epi just to see.

Here are the images. Hopefully the image file name is a good enough label.

Re: Olympus BHM C-Mount Lens Assemblies
Here is a AMSCOPE AD-C03-OL. It's the lens assembly in the lower right corner. It has a lens that pin cushions quite a lot. But with the c-mount is seems fine. Would need to check more.

These are very interesting, thanks for sharing them. If you don't mind a few questions, are these parfocal with one another? How does the FoV compare with what you'd see through the eyepieces?
Re: Olympus BHM C-Mount Lens Assemblies
You have to make adjustments to the focus when changing. Also the relay lens drastically dims it. So those combos need more light.

Re: Olympus BHM C-Mount Lens Assemblies
I suppose that's fair for a given setup. I ask mostly because it gives you a sense of how close to "ideal" the setup is (how much of the possible FoV it is capturing). Might not matter if you're using a lower-res C-mount camera and are able to see everything you want to in the available FoV.
Re: Olympus BHM C-Mount Lens Assemblies
The last image in the first post (not the AMSCOPE lens) is a U-TV2X with no relay lens.
The quality of it seems to be the best. But I'd have to test with different colors to see if there is fringing.

That does look very promising indeed ... I'm envious !microb wrote:The last image in the first post (not the AMSCOPE lens) is a U-TV2X with no relay lens.

To my eye though; there is some colour fringing on the viewer's left of the image, which is not visible elsewhere ... so it's probably worth being super-accurate with the alignment.
