Thanks for the link ... But unfortunately, I am still struggling to get the best out of my assorted optical microscopes :roll:
AFM uses an atomic sharp tip attached to a cantilever that gently feels the topography as it scans in a similar way to the stylus of a record player.
Makes it all sound so easy !!
