Tight dovetail screw?

#1 Post by Piter_ » Sun Aug 04, 2019 8:45 am

Hi forum
I have a couple of tight dovetail screws which are hard to rotate. Any advice how to take them apart? Some I can soak in hexane or isopropanol. Some I will try to heat up but may be somebody has it disassembled so I could see how to take it apart.
Thanks.
Petro

Hi Petro,
normaly you turn the knurled knob to the left to loosen a plunger that atattches the bino to the adapter.
I would first try to get it movable enough to take the mounted component off. Heat + soaking.
Then unscrew the little screw and remove plunger to the inside, probably a spring too.
