Another great trick for enhanced resolution: upsize the images and draw more details onto them.
It is a cool trick but I don't think it is a good idea to treat 'filling in missing information with a plausible guess' as a useful technique. Results are a lot more visually pleasing than the original image for sure.
That's more my lame practical side speaking--certainly it's cool to be able to enhance the images this way, as long as the limitations are understood.
