Wow, that is an amazing footage!

Do you happen to have a lower magnification image of the same vacuole?

After watching this type of videos I wonder about the point of recording videos with my scope and my phone.

Amazing. Life is really an active process. I captured some death scenes in the microcosmos and it amazes me how fast the osmotic pressure equilibrium fails after death.

Thanks, you are most kind. I guess the point should be to register my observations, share and learn from them. I do think microscopy offers opportunities to newbies with basic equipment to register very interesting events. That being said, after watching videos like the OP shared... well, it makes my wonder!

Thanks, Javier, smollerthings.

from wikipedia ==> "After the canals fill with water, the water is pumped into the vacuole. When the vacuole is full, it expels the water through a pore in the cytoplasm which can be opened and closed."

a pore in the cytoplasm which can be opened and closed ???
