I found a rotifer today that I had not seen before. Well, I saw it before, but it always was to mobile to make a video.
I think it is a Cephalodella, because of the general shape, the toes being larger then the other part of the foot and the bundle of stiff cilia around the mouth. Why do I think it is C. forficata? Because it has no eye(s) while all of the other candidates had at least one, because of its total length (about 180 microns) and the length of the two toes (about 46 microns). Both lengths are well within the range given in my ID-book. I can still be wrong of course.
Rotifer: Cephalodella, probably C. forficata
