While watching rotifers from the water in the tray of an outdoor plant this active little thing hove into view, and promptly jumped back out of view !
There followed a merry chase for quite some time until I could get it in focus (sometimes!)
Best I could do was let it jump about in and out of focus while busy trying to track it.
Sadly it is about at the limit of my optics and skill,
So without further ado here is a short video to show its gait,
and three small stills
"Pas de Deux", opens with two splodges! https://vimeo.com/445331163
An ID would be welcome, the closest I can get googling is maybe a Euplotes of some sort ?
