Always good microscopy to observe a brown hydra ( ?Hydra oligactis?). Anton von Lee...first documented these brown hydras in Delft, Netherlands...first documented these hydra's 'budding' as a form of animal reproduction.

When you have time, please tell us where you collected these unique animals ( Meiofauna due their size category)? How long after sample collection you observed these animals? What setup..a petri dish or watch glass, a well slide,or what other platform used for this crisp encouter with hydras.

Is this a 4X objective lens view , what scope you used? Please understand the enjoyment we all enjoy from your shared microscopy is wonderful...thank you! charlie guevara, fingerlakes/US

Thanks! I collected the sample from silver lake near Philadelphia, pa. I had the sample for about a week before I made the video. I used a normal slide with thick algae and plant matter to keep them from getting squished. There are views from 4x, 10x, 20x, and 40x objectives. Most are indicated in the video. I’m using a swift 380T, camera is a Sony a6600.
