Beautiful and interesting footage with superb sharpness. What is the imaging method? Is this a DIC setup?

Yes, this is DIC with a combination of an unmatched objective and prism that gives reasonable contrast.

I asked Ferry Siemensma but he wasn't sure about this amoeba.

What I noticed later on is that there are 5 rounded things in the video that also have filopodia and move around but rather slowly.
