Zoosporemania!

#1 Post by Plasmid » Fri Dec 18, 2020 4:16 pm

Just like last time I was able to capture the zoospores being released from the Algae. This occurred in a synchronized motion with very close time intervals in between each release., Mother nature never ceases to amaze.
Would love to know if anyone has any clue as to which species this is.

Another wonderful video! :)

A friend from Belgium has recorded a similar event, and identifies his organism as Oedogonium:

Thank you Doc,.....one peculiar thing I've notice is that the times I have encountered this Genus its been from flowing creek water samples, never stagnant water.
