The Rotten Place on a Carrot

#1 Post by DonSchaeffer » Fri Jan 15, 2021 10:59 pm

I examined the place on the top of a carrot that was hollowed out and rotten. I am not a biologist so I can never tell if I am really seeing what I should be seeing, but I took pictures of what I thought was significant. The light was very poor and the pictures very grainy, but I was able to show how the cells in the carrot were replaced with thick fibers. I included some of what appeared to be normal carrot cells as a comparison.

Hi Don - I can't see what you mean I'm afraid, the images don't have anything I can really recognise.
