I think those are red blood cells as they pass through the gills.
Can you see RBC'S with a stereo?... Barely
Re: Can you see RBC'S with a stereo?... Barely
I can make out RBCs in my Cycloptic even at relatively low magnifications, though they appear as little more than specs until around 40x; at 80x I can start to discern a little detail. I can't comment on anything higher as 80x is the limit for the Cycloptic with a 2x barlow

Here is a better view
Re: Can you see RBC'S with a stereo?... Barely
What scope and relative magnifications is that?

Im using the Wesco WS7 "embryo transfer Microscope" that I've been trying to fix. Optics are quite decent, the video was shot with a cell phone.
Iwont be able to tell you the magnification, because I frankly dont know much about stereos, but its zoomed in all the way and no barlow lens attached.

Stereos often quote magnification with 10x eyepieces already factored in. That model tops out at 4.5x without an aux objective or eyepieces. Looks like you are getting some nice results with it!
