Roystonea regia pollen

Royal palm tree pollen.
I put them with a drop of glycerin and a coverslip.
Cross polarized light with an olympus CH2.
Olympus 10x
Leitz Berek condenser.

Wow - they look spikey, wouldn't like to et them in my eyes!
Pollen do stain well with fuchsin, if you have some.

Thanks for the instructions about the fuscine.
This palm tree has been right above my window for 25 years, but fortunately we have never had a pollinated eye.
