Cosmarium

#1 Post by JimT » Wed Jul 15, 2015 8:23 pm

Another image from my new pond sample. Haven't seen these since last summer.

Cosmarium and Hydrodictyon in dark field. Canon 60D, eyepiece projection, 4x obj.

Thanks. Took others but I like the way this one is framed and the dark field effect.

Beautiful algae and Cosmarium. Very nice color, good sharpness and very nice overall view. Out of focus areas I think add to the overall effect in this case.

Thanks all and thanks Gekko. Out of focus areas intentional to lead the eye to the point of interest.

Thanks CE. Was looking at another Cosmarium sample from this pond and was surprised to see so much movement of the chloroplasts at 40x and 60x. A rich environment of algae. I will have to do some more postings soon.
