Two rotifers like 75RR posted recently. Don't know what kind they are but they exhibit strange behavior.
Both images with Canon 60D, eyepiece projection, 20X obj.

I like those images very much. Sharpness and detail, 3D effect, color, and composition are all great. Looks like a work of art (I wonder how they would look if you rotated them 180 degrees).

gekko is right it does look like art. I can see how turning them 180 might work, they do look like they are falling.

Thanks to both of you but 75RR you posted them first. These are from my new pond sample and like you I have never seen them before. The pond is well frozen during the Winter and I wonder if that has anything to do with their unique shapes and movements.
Usually they hang out under algae so hard to get a good image. These were nice enough to come out for their photo op
