Pelargonium flower

#1 Post by Cyclops » Mon Aug 10, 2015 9:28 pm

I have a Pelargonium on the windowsill that I bred myself and I took a faded flower to dissect.
I took the photo with my canon compact held over the eyepiece (afocal), it's the only option I have. That and my phone.
5x eyepiece /4x Meiji objective

Absolutely first class photomicrograph, sharp with excellent detail and beautiful colors. I look forward to more beautiful pictures :) . What ISO did your camera use?

Very nice image.
I find that afocal works very well although I found it, as no doubt you do, somewhat unwieldy.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure I set it to 100, tho it might have been on auto.

Oh god yea! I have to balance the camera over the eyepiece, set the self timer, hold my breath and hope!
