From alpha to omega, and back

Hi all,

I am still playing with ascorbic acid. Below a 3 day time lapse. Stay until the end, there is a surprise. :)

Great stuff, and nice image quality!

Wow, 3 days - that took a long time to crystallize, some substances are much faster, like tartaric acid (depends on the circumstances).

Time lapse is a very useful tool. Nicely done!

Indeed it took a while. I am still not a master of the process and don't have all the info re kinetics of the crystallization. I think temperature and initial concentration are definitely factors. The chemicals themself for sure, ambient humidity?
