Climacostomum Cell division
Climacostomum Cell division
Yesterday I found a Climacostomum on a cell division process. I found very interesting to observe the elongated shape of the ciliate, two arrangement of cilia, the contractile vacuole in its center and the macro nucleus extended across the cell. I made several videos and then selected three individual frames. The DF one is showing the last second prior to cell division.

Great still frames, thank you for sharing, Javier. Your images have strong textures, the running video must be fantastic. charlie g.
