Some of my very first slides

#1 Post by Microworld Steve » Sat Oct 17, 2015 10:03 pm

These are some of the very first slides I made. These are from 1989 and 1990. All using balsam medium, and still in great condition.

If I can't see it with my microscope, it ain't worth looking at. :D

Hey, those are very nice, great to look back on! The balsam has clearly made a very good job indeed (in your capable hands) of durably mounting. They look like they'll still be good after we're all gone! Thanks for the post, interesting to see these. :)

Thanks John, I'm surprised they're still in good shape, but they are. :) The slide with the Spanish Moss has a broken cover glass, but not over the specimen, so that's still ok. :D

Very good work! Good workmanship pays, I think.

Thanks gecko :) I just wonder how good I'd be by now if I was able to work with it more in the past. :?: :|
