Skeletal Muscle (Pig), H & E stain, self made

My first histological slide using H & E stain of pig skeletal muscle. It is mounted in glycerine-jelly (R.I.=1.47)

Excellent start with real and useful morphological detail, the stain is very effective, 10/10 from me!

Thank you very much for your kind words,mrsonchus and JimT, the magnification was 400x microscope and 2.5x from camera.

I have another sample with a bigger camera zoom 3x( this time on purposely overstained with Mayer's Haematoxylin) to have a better visibility of the nuclei. Although the striations are not so easily seen on this picture (this could be because I mounted the sample in Nail Polish which has a R.I. of 1.58 bigger than the glycerol-jelly media) but if someone knows other reasons please do not be shy and let me know.
