Unfinished division ?

#1 Post by microplan » Mon Jan 16, 2023 5:12 pm

I filmed it once.
But it was twice as short.
That's why I thought it was in the split phase.
This could be evidenced by a clear narrowing between similar but still connected organisms.
It seemed that a disconnection was imminent, but despite the long wait, nothing happened.
Maybe next time.

It is the flatworm Catenula lemnae, which reproduces asexually by producing new worms growing from the posterior end of the animal.
