Protists in Slightly Deeper Water

I just stuck my pipette close to the bottom of my water jar to get a sample. After several weeks my water sample has separated into a dense biome that sinks to the bottom of the jar and another biome which floats on top. The middle of the sample is clear water. There appear to be sampling differences in species types between the samples but I can't identify them specifically.

Thanks Macmotion. I am actually seeing a little bit of eating other microbes behavior. That was missing until now. They were all absorption feeders.
