Spruce Needle

Cross sections of a spruce needle.

Bright and Darkfield. Natural color and a couple stained with TBO.

All images are stacks of between 5 and 10 images

AO One Ten, 10, 20, and 40x plan objectives. Afocal using Nexus 6 phone

Beautiful images, the TBO looks like a stained-glass window! :D Superb, crisp, vivid and 'alive' with colour! Great job Rod. :D

Super results. Very beautiful, as everyone said. And it is not that you merely put a drop of water on a slide and click the camera shutter to get them.
