A crushed shell of an amoeba, you mean :) . Excellent images, nearly as superb as your earlier intact one. One can clearly see the building "stones" it used to make its (now abandoned) house.

Thanks rnabholz,

looking at both images again I do not see any additional details on the 1.6x so I suspect that it is mostly empty magnification at 0.65 NA
