#1 Post by miguel5526 » Wed Mar 16, 2016 1:30 am

This is my second picture with the microscope corresponds stomata of a sheet of Malvon (Pelargonium hortorun) 200 increases. PhotoScape processed and Luminance HDR. As I recently started in this practice I would love to know your opinions.
Greetings to all.

Hi miguel5526, Nice composition
As I recently started in this practice I would love to know your opinions.
I would suggest that the image looks over enlarged and is therefore probably suffering from empty magnification. I am assuming your 200x is the product of a 20x objective and a 10x eyepiece - a 40x objective would allow a sharper final image.

Good subject and potentially good image too, but as said, somewhere there's either over-enlargement or too-low resolution here. It's great to see the tiny flasks of scented-oils (glandular trichomes) again, they make intriguing subjects live.
Have another try with the picture, you've some nice images there trying to get out. :D
Thanks for the interesting post. :)

Miguel, was the trichome sharp when you looked at it? Could be the camera wasn't focused correctly. This group is very happy to help you get the most enjoyment out of this hobby so do not hesitate to ask questions.

Do you connect the camera to the scope or are you holding it?

Hello JimT: the camera is connected to the microscope with an adapter at the base of Eyetube. That is "without eyepiece :?: " ...
Thank you for your help
regards
Miguel.

Could you explain that again? Nor sure what arrangement you have. Can you post a photo of your setup?
