#1 Post by hkv » Tue Mar 29, 2016 8:59 pm

Recent find. I think it is a dead diatom.

I wish I remembered the magnification, but it is for sure an Olympus UplanFl. I think 20x, but since I also have a magnification changer so sometimes I have 2x on the changer and a lower power objective. I need to start write down my config for all images I take.

Nice. I would say those striations are from a diatom.

Thanks Vaselle/75RR. Yes, it must be a Melosira Diatom! I wish google had better image search so we could automatically match images to the database... But then again, how fun would we then have helping each other with ID:ing our finds :?
