Organisms in running water

#1 Post by glennbech » Wed May 04, 2016 7:16 pm

I took a sample today from a stream to see what organisms that lurk in moving water compared to the still pond. I made sure grab substrate as well as water.

The first sample is in. This looks like som kind Crustacean? I put the focus on a "vein" running from the tail and all the way up to the tail.

10x objective. 10x Eyepiece. Nexus 6P Afocal. Background extraction in photoshop.

Hmm, not my area but looks to me like a limb or part thereof? Someone here's certain to recognize it - watch this space. :)
