I plead guilty on all counts to getting carried away with my Reticle ;)
In my defense I could point out that each division on the 25x objective is 4µm, if the alga is 11 divisions wide what is a poor Reticle user to do?

"Why, round up or down to the nearest multiple of 5". I hear everyone say!
Ok, alga is about 45µm in width.

P.S. Slightly used Reticle and Stage Micrometer for sale. :)
