Copepod

#1 Post by 75RR » Thu Oct 20, 2016 5:39 pm

Neofluar 25x/0.60 Pol, DIC (Non Designated Objective), 8 stacks stitched in Photoshop

Trying out a new to me projecting lens. It is the Micpro f = 63mm
I suppose I should use something fixed and repeatable such as a stage micrometer ...
Will be doing more testing.

Copepod was pinned so there was a bit of movement

Nice image. Very sharp, especially given the copepod was still moving.

Beautiful 75

8 stacks, stitching. Lots of patience, effort and dedication in the mix here. It sure shows.

Many thanks Manfred, vasselle, billben74, rnabholz, hkv and Radazz

This is the one I was doing of the copepod with the normal eyepiece as a projection lens,
but as it has some delamination I decided, once I had finished, that it was time to see how the Mipro worked. (1st image)
As mentioned earlier a better comparison can most likely be made with a stage micrometer as the subject.
I have a couple more Olympus OM lenses to try out yet and I need to find a way to nail parfocality with it.

Neofluar 25x/0.60 Pol, DIC (Non Designated Objective), 11 stacks stitched in Photoshop
(There are more stacks as the position he was in covered a wider area - it straightened out after I added water)

I liked the first one. The second (also) seems better to me. Sharper, more vivid colours, more 3 -d
