Couple more from John B

#1 Post by Radazz » Wed Oct 26, 2016 5:43 pm

Here are a couple more images of John B slides.
First one of his mitotic masterpieces

I didn't think phased contrast would do much with this type of slide, but it brings out some subtle textures in the cell structure, as well as the cell walls.

Hi,
are these worm like structures in the nuclei in the first image dividing DNA?

They certainly are.
Daffodyl ovaries (and presumbly most plant ovaries at the right time) are very active tissues.

Very nice! Very good images. I've been reluctant to take images of a mrsonchus slide that I have as I'm afraid that I won't do it justice.
