Arcella

#1 Post by 75RR » Fri Dec 02, 2016 2:21 am

Plan 40x/0.65 and Achromat 40x/0.65 Ph2, 90µm, Brightfield, Oblique, COL, Phase, Pol + Prism II and DIC, 10, 10, 9, 8, 8 and 10 image stacks in Photoshop

Opening was on the other side and did not appear clearly when focusing through the Arcella, so did not include it.

With my eyes oblique and dic are the winners, pol looks a little out of focus to me.
Nice images.

Hello 75RR,
this is unusual, as Arcella never protect their test with foreign objects. The honeycomb as shown well in the DIC is the structure of a clean Arcella.
There appears to be a lot of litter/debris on top.
Thanks for the comparison, Oblique and DIC win.
Unfortunately I can only do brightfield with my Zeiss Junior.
Greetings,
Hans

Ahh, very nice. I like the DIC best but also the Oblique is really good!

Thanks cuxlander and hkv

You should consider getting a Standard 18 - it is much more versatile than the Standard KF II,
which is for all intents and purposes a Field Microscope, and as such, rather basic.
