Phyllophaga In May:

I think this is a species of the genus phyllophaga family, generally called the May beetle in our area.
Found a good many of these feeding at night on our persimmon tree leafs.

Once in a while I can obtain a fairly good photo. This was a fairly large beetle so I took some photos of the other end. Dorsal view.
