The sample collection is extremely simple - I just left several cover slips outside for a week.

Nice samples. Two other ways to collect pollen is with two sided clear tape or Vaseline on the exposed slide.

I know that professional samplers use some kind of sticky substances for mostly quantitative sampling.
My goal is getting pretty pictures, and I don't mind waiting several days to get decent density, so I don't want to use any sticky substances that almost certainly will degrade image quality.
