Diatoms from a prepared slide of historical material

#1 Post by gekko » Sun Feb 01, 2015 11:36 pm

The first image of the slide itself has the information. The images that follow are of areas from the slide. The diatoms are mostly broken fragments, and I don't know enough about diatoms to know if the images are of any interest to someone, but I thought I'd post them since I have the slide. Thank you for looking.

The last one is great! Somehow diatoms look nice on a black background!

Thank you very much for your kind comment. For darkfield, I use the DF position on my phase-contrast condenser which works for the 4x,10x, and 40x objectives.
